Can’t find the time to workout – You’re ONLINE!

When I was younger fitness, was always part of my life and I consider myself lucky to have had that great start not only did it keep me fit and healthy but I also developed lots of friendships outside of school and socially made me a far more confident person.

In today’s society, adults and children are surrounded by temptations from food choices to activity and peer choices. It’s easier for adults to make choices for themselves but children very often copy their peers or go for the easy option whether it’s watching DVDs, playing computer games, social media and just hanging out! None of these are a bad thing but it is also good to interact sport / exercise into their lifestyles.

As we all know, children and teenagers get embarrassed easily about doing something and so would prefer not to do it at all and that’s how many feel about exercise, but inside they really do want to do it. Confidence as a child is so important and though as parents you can try to install this, it comes from within and the way a child feels with a situation, the way they look, the clothes they wear or even the friends they hang around with.

If your child lacks confidence and perhaps suffers with their weight (especially through adolescence when hormones can kick in and disturb metabolic rates), then exercise maybe the answer.

For children that are naturally sporty or competitive it isn’t embarrassing to join a new sports team or club but for some children who aren’t competitive but still love to run, jump or bounce it is really embarrassing and intimidating to join an athletics club for example. For those who are embarrassed about doing it by themselves, I am very willing to train 1-4 children at a time so they don’t have to attend by themselves.
